Ghosts, Witches, and Pirates Tour

Step back into the shadows of America’s old Colonial capital and experience a ghost tour unlike any other. This one-hour, original walking tour invites you to wander the darkened streets alongside one of the town’s most infamous spirits. As lantern light flickers against centuries-old brick, you’ll hear stories that are equal parts chilling and historically grounded — tales that have lingered in the air long after the living moved on.

At the center of the experience is Lucy, remembered as one of the town’s most troubled and controversial residents. Through her voice, you’ll learn about the harsh realities of 18th-century medical practices under Dr. Galt, whose treatments were often far from humane. Lucy shares her side of the story, insisting she was wrongfully committed to the town’s lunatic asylum, and she does not hold back when recounting the injustices she believes were done to her.

But this is more than a theatrical ghost story. The tour is built on carefully researched history, blending documented accounts with the lingering legends that surround the old capital. As Lucy walks the same streets once traveled by figures like Thomas Jefferson, she reveals the true stories behind the spirits said to remain. You’ll discover how history, heartbreak, and mystery intertwine in ways that still unsettle visitors today.

Whether you’re a history lover, a believer in the paranormal, or simply looking for a unique night out, this is a must-see experience. Join Lucy and uncover why her reputation has endured for centuries — and why her presence is still felt after dark.

Tours begin March 27 and run every Friday and Saturday night at 8:00 PM, starting at the Capitol Building. The experience lasts approximately one hour. Admission is $20 for adults, and children ages six and under attend free.
